SBB-APP - I suggest that you download the SBB train app and you can buy your ticket over the phone.
Train tickets - Tickets cannot be bought on Swiss trains so make sure to purchase them before boarding. Fines for travelling without a ticket are steep.

Kids travel - Junior Card Do you often travel by public transport with grandchildren, godchildren or other children aged at least 6 and under 16? Then the Children’s Co-Travelcard for CHF 30 is an ideal option. The Children’s Co-Travelcard is available on the SwissPass. (Info)
Dog on the train - Dogs of any size travelling in passenger carriages must always pay second-class half fare. Exception: small dogs up to 30 cm high at the top of their shoulder blades can travel with you free of charge as carriage hand luggage provided they are in a carrier, basket or other suitable container.
