Look beyond - the film
Without a cent and a predetermined project, Claudia Doron-Zahner founded the non-profit association "River of Hope" in 2010 and landed in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
She takes her viewers on a journey to her center "Tala Mosika", (Tala Mosika means "look beyond" in Lingala).
With the goal of "helping people to help themselves", she started 13 years ago with a lot of support from the Swiss Rhine Valley and around. Today, a center stands on 5 hectares of land. Over 500 primary and high school students receive an education, are cared for in the health center and benefit from the soccer school. Come with us on the journey, soon we will land in Congo.

After the film (20') Claudia Doron will chat with Julia Hauser, Managing Director of "booksinbuchs". They will talk about the interesting story behind the name of River of Hope, why the balls are blue and the reason why we don't accept child sponsorships and then there is the story with the secret service.....

Lueg drüber us - der Film
Claudia Doron-Zahner gründete ohne einen Cent und einem vorbestimmten Projekt, den gemeinnützigen Verein "River of Hope" im 2010 und landete in der Demokratischen Republik Kongo.
Sie nimmt ihre Zuschauer auf eine Reise in ihr Zentrum "Tala Mosika" mit, (Tala Mosika bedeutet in Lingala "lueg drüber us").
Mit dem Ziel "Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe", hat sie mit viel Support aus dem Alpenrheintal um Umgebung vor 13 Jahren losgelegt. Heute steht auf den 5ha Land ein Zentrum. Hier erhalten über 500 Primar- und Oberstufenschülern eine Schulbildung, werden im Gesundheitszentrum versorgt und profitieren von der Fußballschule. Kommen Sie mit auf die Reise, bald landen wir im Kongo.
Talk & Apéro
Im Anschluss an den Film (20') ist Claudia Doron im Gespräch mit Julia Hauser, Geschäftsführerin “booksinbuchs”. Sie erzählt uns die interessante Geschichte die hinter dem Namen von River of Hope steckt, wieso die Bälle blau sind, warum sie keine Kinder Patenschaften akzeptieren und dann gibts da noch die Geschichte mit dem Geheimdienst....

So eindrucksvoll, ich konnte mir ja schon einiges vorstellen aber mit dem Film und den Erklärungen dazu, wirklich sehr informativ und bewegend ! Wahnsinn was Du da auf die Beine gestellt hast - natürlich mit Hilfe Deines „locals“ aber es war Dein Traum und Deine Vision und Du/Ihr habt soviel bewirkt, einfach toll !! What a fantastic project you have put together. From the initial idea as a flight attendant landing in the Congo you never gave up on your vision.
